The Journey Within

Image
Rency Clyde Leynes Paradina There comes a time when the path of others seems to differ from yours. There are people ahead of you, and you see them prosper, reaching milestones, and you feel left out. Suddenly you feel pressured, doubtful, and uncertain and feel the need to catch up. The need to compare is a one-sided mirror. It only displays success, but the outcome is the result of struggles that are hidden. The mirror leads us off course from our own path, A path that is uniquely yours and does not need to mirror others. Life is a journey to a path of the unknown, An experience that contains your dreams and aspiration, A path that leads you to becoming the person you are meant to be. Beyond the Bubble

Image
Rency Clyde Leynes Paradina We will always prefer the safe, familiar, and predictable path. But growth hardly prospers in the bubble of comfort. It depends on us to pop the bubble and take a step outside of the familiar path. Taking a risk is standing at the edge of the bubble, looking at what is being reflected outside. The view will overwhelm you with doubt, thoughts of failure, and feelings of regret. Suddenly, you miss the comfort that protects you from disappointment, but you know it will also shield you from realizing your potential. The guts to pop the bubble and take the risk is confidence. The confidence that will acknowledge a bad outcome and use it as an inspiration to continue. We take risks to develop ourselves, explore, and venture into new possibilities. So, step out and live boldly with courage and confidence. Originally Published in The Lycean Times

The Art of Imperfection

Image
Rency Clyde Leynes Paradina Imperfections are what make a person uniquely beautiful. It tells a story of the unpredictability of our experiences that shape who we really are. These flaws should be embraced and be used as a platform to develop oneself. Life and nature are not perfect, our surroundings consist of imperfections that make up who they are. The mountains are rough not smooth, the rivers always change course, and yet they are perfect in their imperfection. It is their strength and their aspects that define who they are and their function. Imperfection is a testament to learning and change. We are the artists that will add colors to the canvas of who we are. A canvas that tells the story of our journey and embraces our identity. A canvas that displays our beautifully flawed masterpiece, which is ourselves. Originally published in  The Lycean Times
